Dustin D. Trammell

VoIP Security Researcher
http://www.dustintrammell.comDustin D. Trammell, aka I)ruid, is a researcher within the security research group at TippingPoint, focusing on the Internet Telephony space. His current responsibilities at TippingPoint include Voice over IP (VoIP) security research and development.
Dustin is also the Founder of the Computer Academic Underground and co-founder of the Austin Hackers Association (AHA!). Dustin has over a decade of experience in various areas of information security including vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, secure network architecture, and vulnerability research and development, including research in specific areas related to the security of network protocols, network applications, steganography, and VoIP.
Over the years Dustin has been involved with many security community projects such as design and development of Sender Policy Framework (SPF) for e-mail (RFC 4408) and contributing as a data mangler for the OSVDB. He regularly releases vulnerability advisories and speaks at security related events and conferences. Dustin is also on the Technical Advisory Board of the Voice over IP Security Alliance (VoIPSA), is an active participant in various VoIPSA projects, and is a regular contributor to the Voice of VoIPSA blog.
Prior to joining TippingPoint, Dustin headed up the Security Research Team at Sipera Systems. Before Sipera, Dustin was a Security Researcher for Citadel Security Software (recently acquired by McAfee) responsible for vulnerability analysis, research, and remediation within the scope of the Linux, Solaris, AIX, and HP/UX platforms.
