Wayne Blackard

Wayne Blackard is a principal security researcher within the Digital Vaccine group at TippingPoint. Wayne was a member of the original architecture team that developed the TippingPoint IPS. Previous to TippingPoint, he worked for IBM for 17 years. During most of the 1990's, Wayne worked on the architecture and implementation of IBM products and technologies to deliver digital audio and video over IP networks. Previous to this work, he worked in various capacities (developer, project lead, manager) in the AIX Operating System development for the IBM RT, PS/2 and RS/6000 Workstations. Wayne currently holds 4 U.S. patents and graduated from the University of Texas with an Electrical Engineering degree.
